Park City Credit Union (PCCU) announced last Thursday, June 5, 2025, that it has merged with Wood County Employees Credit Union (WCECU), expanding the Merrill-based financial institution’s reach into Wood and Portage counties.
The merger adds to PCCU’s existing service area, which already includes Lincoln County and the Merrill community. The credit union serves more than 24,000 members across 12 counties in northcentral Wisconsin.
“This merger is a natural fit for both organizations,” said Val Mindak, President/CEO of PCCU. “We share a deep commitment to our members and the communities we serve. By joining forces, we’re not only expanding our reach, but we’re also strengthening our ability to deliver exceptional value, personalized service, and innovative financial solutions to even more people.”
WCECU members will gain access to PCCU’s expanded services, including additional financial products, enhanced digital banking tools, and a broader network of branches and ATMs. The transition is expected to be seamless for existing members.
PCCU operates branches in Merrill, Tomahawk, Minocqua, and Rhinelander. The member-owned cooperative provides services to residents who live, work, or own land in Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Price, Rusk, Taylor, Vilas, Wood, or Portage counties.
