Melissa Wrycha, Sue Pasterz, Jennifer Waldrop and Krista Lewandowski all participated in the Merrill Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Lock Up event, on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Salvo’s Pizza in Merrill. The Lock-Up experience is where they had a chance to network with other business leaders that were committed to raising money for MDA. In all, Park City Credit Union employees managed to raise $1,221 that will go towards sending individuals and families to the MDA summer camp.
The MDA camp is specifically designed for children ages 6-17 affected by neuromuscular diseases, where they can be “just kids.” They are able to meet other kids, and engage in activities such as horseback riding, swimming, sports, crafts, and much more. Many children look forward to camp and many say it has changed their lives. However, the real benefit is that they can create lifelong friendships and forget about the disease during this week.
