MLD Auto Repair expands to become Toro dealership

MLD Auto Repair, 805 N. Center Ave. in Merrill, is bursting at the seams with new Toro stock, having become Merrill’s newly-authorized Toro dealer about two weeks ago.
Owned by Mike and Lynn Dettmering, MLD Auto Repair has expanded their offerings to include a complete line of Toro lawn mowers, power tools, and snowblowers and will also provide Toro parts and service on-site.
“We have a wide variety of zero turns—residential and commercial,” Lynn said. They also have Toro push lawn mowers, all of which come standard with removable baggers, and hand power tools including leaf blowers. string trimmers, pole saws, and chainsaws. Toro offers on-site financing for purchases. Later in the season snowblowers will be added to their inventory. Lynn emphasized that parts and service for Toro products are key additions to their lineup, alongside of sales.
We’ve got all the parts in stock, she said. From belts to blades ... “I’ve got it all,” Lynn said. “That’s gonna be a big thing.”
She said she’s already sold a couple of zero-turn mowers and the business has lots more in stock. In addition, “It is Toro sale days,” she said, “So there’s a lot of rebates going on.” Rebates will extend through the end of May.
MLD Auto Repair continues to offer tires and auto diagnostics and repair, alignments, trailer repair, and Boss snow plow installation, sales, and service for trucks, four wheelers, UTVs, and side-by-sides. Toro, a publicly-traded company that specializes in outdoor equipment products, acquired Boss Snowplow in 2014. So when the Dettmerings learned about the opportunity to become an authorized Toro dealer, it seemed a natural fit, and their extensive new line of red Toro inventory complements their existing line of red Boss snow plows on display in front of their shop.
