Minnesota woman killed in single vehicle crash

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) reports a 35-year-old woman from St. Paul, Minn., died in a single-vehicle crash on Cty. Rd. C about 1/2 mile east of Cty. Rd. X in the Township of Schley on Aug. 8, 2023.
A 911 call came in to the Lincoln County Dispatch Center at approximately 12:20 p.m. LCSO deputies, the Merrill Fire Department/EMS, Town of Russell Fire Department, and Town of Russell First Responders responded, and life-saving efforts were initiated and continued as the victim was transported to Aspirus Merrill Hospital. Ultimately, those efforts were unsuccessful and the woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending the notification of family members. The crash remains under investigation.
