Young and old—and all ages in between—bundled up and headed outdoors and to downtown Merrill to enjoy Merrill’s Lighted Christmas Parade last Saturday evening, Dec. 7, 2024. Of course, the biggest attraction for the little ones was seeing Santa riding in the bucket atop one of Merrill Fire Department’s fire engines. Mrs. Claus and some of the elves rode in the parade, too, as did some fun-loving volunteers and employees from local businesses and organizations that entered lighted floats in the annul Christmas Parade. Even a juggling elf on a unicycle was able to participate in this year’s parade thanks to the clear streets.
The parade culminated with Santa lighting the Christmas tree and huge wreath on the lawn of the Lincoln County Courthouse at the end of the parade.
Attending Merrill’s Christmas parade is a great tradition to enjoy with family and friends year after year.
