Merrill Theatre Jays present Catch Me If You Can

The Merrill Theatre Jays will showcase Catch Me If You Can, the Musical, as their spring high school musical production, with three shows coming up on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, 2025. Evening performances will begin at 7 p.m. both nights, and Saturday will also feature a matinee at 2 p.m.
The cast features Drake Hoffman starring as Frank Abagnale, Jr.; Nicholas Van De Weerd as Carl Hanratty; Devin Billington as Frank Abagnale, Sr.; Belicia Spahn as Paula Abagnale; Isabella Stutting as Brenda Strong; Myah Webb as Carol Strong; and Leo Lazare as Roger Strong. Agents Cod, Dollar, and Branton are played by Orion Pillai, Sebastian Doering, and Jameson Morgan respectively, and Rory Gates plays Cheryl Ann.
The featured Choral Septet is comprised of Adalyn Blake, Autumn Genisot, Gracie Lessor, Maddie McCoy, Ley Staeven, Cadence Stutting, and Lauren Van Alstine. The Ensemble includes Alle Bergh, Ella Bergh, Lilly Bong, Austin Doering, Annabella Foust, Hazeley Gates, Rory Gates, Jacob Hanson, Mara Kautzer, Emma Meyers, Vincent Morgan, Emily Raymer, Isabella Scheffler, Jasper Staeven, and Benjamin Zastrow.
Tickets are available through Merrill High School, via the Merrill Theatre Jays Facebook page, and at the door.
Based on the dress rehearsal, this article indicated the production was  rated PG-13 for language and blasphemy.  However, on April 2, 2025, the Merrill High School Activities Director  reached out to say, "The version we received is a PG version, and we have removed the swearing and blasphemy from the production."
