At 1:47 p.m., a woman was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. She began screaming and yelling, creating a disturbance within the building, and was additionally charged with disorderly conduct.
At 4:48 p.m., a citizen turned in a cell phone found in the roadway. The officer was able to determine the owner, and the phone was returned.

Aug. 4, 2026
At 12:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the city of Merrill. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was removed from the scene by a tow truck, and a citation was issued to the driver found at fault.

At 11:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to a domestic altercation in the city of Merrill. A man and woman were yelling, and items could be heard being thrown. The man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Aug. 5, 2026
At 9:21 p.m., officers were notified of a fight at the fairgrounds in the city of Merrill. Officers investigated the fight, and an injury was reported. Multiple people were arrested.

At 11:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to a fight at the fairgrounds in the city of Merrill. Officers investigated the fight, and a man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.

Aug. 7, 2026
At 3:42 p.m., a caller reported someone stole a package from her porch. Investigation is ongoing.
At 7:42 p.m., an 18-year-old man was found attempting to bring a backpack of beer into the festival grounds. He was cited for an underage alcohol violation.
At 8:54 p.m., a caller reported finding $300 in $100 bills lying in the road. The bills were found to be counterfeit and were destroyed.

At 10:35 p.m., a wallet was turned in to an officer at the Lincoln County Fair. The owner was determined based on ID found in the wallet.
At 11:15 p.m., a caller reported the odor of marijuana coming from an apartment. The officer found the odor was not marijuana but was from an oven fire that had occurred earlier in the night.

Aug. 8, 2026
At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported a piece of mail had been opened and money was missing. Investigation is ongoing.
At 10:01 p.m., a man was found to have urinated on a car in the festival grounds parking lot. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

Aug. 12, 2026
At 9:17 a.m., a caller reported someone stole tools from his vehicle while it was parked at a hotel. Investigation is ongoing.
At 1:21 p.m., an inmate at a county jail reported someone had hacked into his online accounts and suspects a Merrill resident. Investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 13, 2026
At 6:52 a.m., a caller reported someone had thrown a chunk of concrete at his vehicle overnight, causing damage. Investigation is ongoing.

Aug. 14, 2026
At 11:20 a.m., an officer responded to a reported burglary in which money was stolen from a residence. Investigation continues.

For the week of Aug. 3-9, officers conducted approximately 24 traffic stops and 91 security checks.
For the week of Aug. 10-16, officers conducted approximately 37 traffic stops and 112 security checks.
