05-20-24
At 8:52 a.m. a burglary was reported at a residence. Investigation is ongoing.
At 6:12 p.m. a store reported a female was concealing items in a bag within the store. The female was found to have stolen fishing lures and a few other items. She was cited for retail theft.

05-21-24
At 5:06 p.m. a store reported a female inside their store that has been a habitual shoplifter. The employee knew a Merrill officer was looking to speak to the thief from a recent previous theft at this same store. When officers arrived, it was found the female was in the restroom and had concealed various articles of clothing while in the restroom. The female was arrested for shoplifting and four counts of bail jumping.
Officers handled and assisted Merrill Fire Department and Wisconsin Public Service with several reports of power lines down, trees that fell into the roadways, property damage, and debris in the roadway following a storm that moved through the area.
At 9:43 p.m. a male turned himself in for a warrant issued through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested for that warrant.

At 5:51 p.m. a male was taken into custody for engaging in an altercation with his significant other at a business.
At 5:53 p.m. a female reported a historical physical altercation between her and her significant other. The significant other was taken into custody for the altercation.
At 10:39 p.m. a male was taken into custody for an altercation with his significant other which resulted in injury.
At 9:46 a.m. male was taken into custody for driving under the influence and drug paraphernalia that was located in his vehicle.
At 8:05 a.m. a male was stopped for a traffic violation and issued citations for operating with a revoked driving status and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 10:48 a.m. an officer took a report of a theft of discs from the disc golf course at Stange’s Park.
At 5:26 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence. A male subject was taken into custody for several charges including disorderly conduct, battery and strangulation/suffocation.
At 5:29 p.m. an officer responded to a local business for a report of a shoplifting incident. During the course of the investigation, the male subject was found to have also stolen an item from the store on May 17. The male subject was arrested for two counts of retail theft and transported to the jail.

05-26-24
At 6:31 p.m. officers were dispatched to a hit and run near a local residence. Officers determined a vehicle had gone off the road and struck a power pole. The vehicle and driver were later identified. The driver will be issued citations pending further investigation.
