Merrill Lions donate to Merrill Park & Rec

The Merrill Lion’s Club recently presented the Merrill Parks & Recreation Department with a check for $7,000 to help defray the City’s costs for installing security cameras at Stange and Kitchenette Parks. The Merrill Parks & Recreation Department received funding through the 2023 budgetary process to install security cameras at Kitchenette and Stange Parks this year to try to decrease the growing amount of vandalism over the past few years.
“We are very thankful for the generous donation from the Merrill Lion’s Club,” said Dan Wendorf, Parks & Recreation Director, “We are very fortunate to have such wonderful and supportive community partners. This donation will not only help offset the cost of the project, but will help us protect our beautiful parks and amenities for everyone to continue to enjoy here in the City of Parks.”
