Coach Kevin Harding provided a season recap for the Merrill 9U Blue Travel Team, who wrapped up their season at the Waupaca Comet Classic July 13-14, 2024. They beat Neenah Red (11-9) and lost to Shawano (11-3) and Fond Du Lac (10-7). Earlier in the season, the boys took first place at Merrill Baseball tournament (May 31- June 2). In pool play they beat Wisconsin Rapids White 20-0, Plover Americans 24-4, and DC Everest Green 15-1. In the Championship game, they defeated Rhinelander 5-3. The team also played in the Antigo Dugout Club Tournament on June 14-16. They were 2-0, beating Plover Americans 10-0 and Wisconsin Rapids White 16-6. Unfortunately, bracket play on Sunday was canceled due to rain.
