MAPS accepts October donations

The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the Oct. 19, 2022, Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Directors meeting:
A donation of a Can Am UTV from the Friends of the Forest valued at $30,895 for use at the Nels P. Evjue School Forest; a check from Chad & Kris Glaze of Vine Vest North, Inc. valued at $250 for the Merrill High School Cheer Team Camp; funds from the Gleason Community Club valued at $2,000 for the Tech Ed Program; a check from Stacy Literski valued at $45 for the Merrill Tennis Team; funds from Church Mutual colleagues of Pam Stamper valued at $125 for the MHS Vocal Jayz Choir in memory of Pam’s father, James George Spice, and his love for choirs and singing; two library books from Marie Rein valued at $40 for Washington School in memory of Scott Krenz and Jeff Peterson (former Washington students); hats, mittens, and shoes from Renea Frederick valued at $100 for students in need at Kate Goodrich and PRMS; and a book from the Gamma Chapter/WI State Organization/Delta KappaGamma Society International valued at $25 for Washington School in memory of Lorraine Muschinske, a dedicated educator who taught at Washington, was Merrill Teacher of the Year in 1978 and 1987, and was Wisconsin Elementary Teacher of the Year in 1987.
