MAPS accepts June 17 donations

The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the June 17, 2026, Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Education meeting:
A check from Judy Bellin valued at $150 for Merrill Baseball in memory of Charles Reinhardt; a check from Kraig & RaDell Jaeger valued at $50 for Merrill High School (MHS) Baseball in memory of Charles Reinhardt; a check from Berlin-Hamburg Lions Club valued at $100 for the Senior celebration; a Janome embroidery machine and thread from Barb Behm valued at $2,200 for building the “Stitch Studio” course at Prairie River Middle School (PRMS) in the Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Program; a KitchenAid mixer from Tracy Krenz valued at $200 for supporting the Foods labs in the FCS department at PRMS; 20 sewing machines from Casey’s Sewing Center valued at $2,000 for building the “Stitch Studio” course at PRMS; a chest freezer and microwave from Mike Wellner and Kayla Williams valued at $300 for supporting the FCS Program at PRMS; money from the Board of Discipleship Ministry of St. John and Loretta Singer valued at $500 for the MHS Nest; a check from the Mary Geiss Memorial Foundation valued at $345 for helping special education students attend the prom; summer activity passes from the Mary Geiss Memorial valued at $130 for helping students at Prairie River School for Young Learners experience summer activities; a check from the Trinity Lutheran Church Dorcas Society valued at $300 for purchasing hygiene products for the Kate Goodrich, Washington, PRMS, and MHS Nests; folders from Jessica Springer valued at $300 for use in the MAPS District; a monetary gift from St. John’s Church - Singer Estate valued at $1,000 for the MHS Nest; and summer passes from the Mary Geiss Memorial Foundation valued at $860 for the MAPS Bluejay Nests and summer fun for students.
