The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the April 17, 2025, Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Education meeting:
Two monetary gifts from United Health Group for the MHS Theatre Jays, valued at $230 and $460; cash from Grampa’s Farm valued at $300 for the Washington Nest and for providing food for students at home; cash from Kristi Krombholz valued at $100 for the Washington Nest and buying students items from the book fair; funds from Aspirus Health Community Benefit Program valued at $500 for the Washington Green Team to go to the Food & Farm Expo in Plover to expand their learning so they can transition from hydroponic gardening and restart the outside garden at Washington Elementary; root beer float cards from A&W Restaurant valued at $120 for Washington book character bingo winners; dry cleaning from Westside Market/Easy Wash Laundromat valued at $200 to clean the Cheer Team’s Bluejay Mascot costumes; the following monetary donations from the Aspirus Community Benefit Program for the Merrill High School: $1,000 to use for positive behavior; $1,700 to use for the SPARK Life Skills Cooking Program; and $1,300 for the SPARK Gardening and Raised Garden Beds Program; money from Merrill United Way valued at $974 for the MAPS Bluejay Nests ($243.50 each to MHS, PRMS, WASH, and KATE); and a monetary gift from Rangeline Machine and Repair valued at $150 for the MHS Skills USA Club T-shirts.
