A 26-year old Wausau man remains in the Lincoln County Jail on a felony and misdemeanor charges after deputies took him into custody early Thursday morning in the City of Tomahawk.

Deputies had gone to an apartment earlier in the morning on South Tomahawk Avenue after a noise complaint was reported. When deputies contacted Jack A. Svoke, he provided them with a false name. Deputies returned to the apartment later in the morning to follow up on their investigation and try and identify Svoke, when they did Svoke resisted deputies causing a taser to be used on him three times before he was brought under control. While Deputies were taking him into custody Svoke kicked one deputy and head butted another.

Svoke, whose real identity was determined when he was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and fingerprinted, was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, two felony counts of battery to law enforcement and five counts of bail jumping for violating terms of bail bonds in Oneida and Marathon Counties.

At a bond hearing on Thursday a Lincoln County Judge imposed a $10,000 cash bond, which Svoke has not been able to post. He is also being held on a probation violation charge.
