To the Editor:
There is so much negative news now, I want to tell you about a pleasant experience I had at the Marshfield Clinic here in Merrill.
My name was called, and a woman met me at the entrance where blood is drawn. As she took my jacket, she asked my name. When I told her she said, “My name is Jo Ann, too.”
I commented on her nice necklace. She said “I got it at a ‘pow wow.’”

One of the pictures on the wall was a dog. I like dogs and dog stories. She told me about that dog. We seemed to have a lot in common. Jo Ann turned a dreaded experience to a pleasant experience.
Merrill is lucky to have people like Jo Ann living here.
Sincerely,

- Jo Ann Opsahl
Merrill, Wis.
