To the Editor:
Seventy years ago, my husband Bob and I moved to Merrill. I love and enjoy my life here. We have supported many organizations here regardless of their sponsors. I believe charity begins at home. Merrill will always be our home.
When I needed surgery for a broken hip, I was thankful for Pine Crest to recover and receive the therapy I needed. The facility was clean and the staff was pleasant and attentive. My friends visited me without leaving Merrill. I want Pine Crest to continue to serve people here in Merrill as a “not-for-profit” home.
I truly believe we need to keep Pine Crest. Pine Crest was not built for profit and should remain a not-for-profit facility.
