Leslie Blasing to return for third annual Concert For A Cause

The Merrill Area United Way (MAUW) recently announced Leslie Blasing will return to Merrill for the third annual “Concert For A Cause” on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
A professional singer/performer from South Padre Island, Tex., Blasing has been entertaining for more than 30 years with her wide vocal range, performing music from many genres. She engages her audience with jokes, stories, dancing, and music. Named “Best Entertainer” in Texas multiple times, she has opened for several renowned country stars.
MAUW is proud and pleased to be able to bring her back for this year’s Concert For A Cause fundraiser. All profits from the 2024 concert are designated for the “Disaster Relief Fund” established by MAUW following the tornado of 2011. This fund exists to help families impacted by disasters such as a fire, flood, or tornado.
The event will be held at VFW Post 1638, 601 Johnson St. in Merrill, beginning at 5 p.m. with Blasing performing from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets will be available in advance and at the door and include an appetizer buffet, entertainment, and dancing. A cash bar will be available, along with raffles.
