An area teen was recently recognized for his actions following a vehicle crash that occurred in February.
According to a post on the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, Noah Klug, 17, was driving by the scene of a crash that was later identified as fatal. When Deputy Vogel arrived on scene, she observed Klug giving chest compressions.
“Noah was calm and collected and provided her with an update on what he had done so far in checking for a pulse and other signs of life and initiating CPR,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Noah identified himself as being certified in CPR, and coordinated in handing over lifesaving measures to Deputy Vogel and other emergency responders.”
The Sheriff’s Office said Klug remained on-scene and provided information upon request.
“We are impressed with his composure and his actions, given the seriousness of the situation and the fact that he is 17 years old,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “Noah’s actions reflect great credit upon himself, his family, and the members of this community. Congratulations, Noah, on receiving the Sheriff’s Letter of Commendation.”
