Kenneth G (Kenny) Woller

Posted

Kenneth G (Kenny) Woller, 79, of Merrill passed away on November 25, 2024, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Ken was born on April 21, 1945, in Merrill to Raymond & Ardith Woller. On September 16, 1967, he married the love of his life Rita. Ken had work at Anderson Brothers & Johnson quarry and then later at SEMCO from where he retired.

When he was younger Ken enjoyed bear hunting with family and friends. He loved to tell the many stories of those days. Ken loved his family and spending time with them whether it was in the woods, Black Friday sales, demo derbies, ice drags, hitting the UTV trails and of course auctions. Ken was very proud when his daughter-in-law Deb Woller became an auctioneer and he never missed a sale no matter the distance. He enjoyed collecting coins, Santas for his daughter and Snowmen for his granddaughter. Ken was a hard worker, a story teller, a jokster and a friend to anyone he met.   Although Ken’s family was most important to him, he significantly missed his true love Rita Woller for the last four years…in fact just this past weekend Ken said he would be spending this Thanksgiving with her and now he is. Although our hearts are broken, we can be very thankful this Thanksgiving for the love, laughs and memories with him, and the knowing that Mom and Dad are together again.

Ken is survived by his daughter Lisa (Jeff) Brown, his son Wayne (Deb) Woller and one son-in-law Jeff Dorgay.  Six grandchildren Samantha (Dan) Sawyer, Merrill, Megan Spreeman, Eau Claire, Robert Spreeman (Amanda Hayley) Merrill Tyler Dorgay, Merrill Nikki Philipp (Devyn Raab), Prentice and Duston Koenig (Becca Dorn) Merrill. One great-grandson Zander Brown-Grenwalt (Merrill) He is also survived by a brother Raymond (Janet) Woller a brother-in-law Randall Hofmann and a sister-in-law Lorene Hofmann all of Merrill, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, daughter Amy Woller Dorgay, father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Grace Hofmann, Sister-in-laws Ann Hofmann and Nancy Walsh and niece, Lynn Lecher.

Per Ken’s wishes a private family celebration will take place at a later date.
