July Garden of the Month

Park City Gardens has designated the yard and garden of Mary Ann Kufahl as the July Garden of the Month. Located at 2703 E. 10th St. in Merrill, Mary Ann Kufahl has enjoyed the fun of creating the beautiful flower gardens surrounding her house since 1989.
“As you approach from the west, you see beautiful full grown shade trees surrounded by the beauty of color,” Park City Gardens nominators said. “Each year she has added a few more annuals, a few more perennials, and the perfect garden art to enhance her hard work.”
“Mary Ann’s yard is a place of serenity and tranquility,” they said. “The front yard greets you with beautiful color and greenery that welcome you to the front door.”
A trip around the home reveals shrubs and plantings in a variety of shades of green, along with beautiful blooming flowers that vary with the season. A tranquil setting awaits toward the backyard. Calming waterfalls and serene color combine with the enchanting fragrance of the flowering blossoms, creating an experience for all the senses.
“The deck is adorned with bright colors, comfy seating, and even flourishing tomato plants,” nominators said. “It truly invites you to take a seat, relax, and take it all in.”
To ensure you don’t miss any of the splendor, travel slowly as you approach from the west on 10th Street and continue slowly to the south on Johnson Street. You can see the entire beautiful setting from the comfort of your vehicle.
