Jennie J. Voigt, 91, passed away March 7, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born December 3, 1933 in town of Hamburg, daughter of the late Arnold and Ida (Bloch) Krenz. On May 29, 1954, she married Gene Voigt at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamburg, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2017.
Jennie farmed with her husband and also worked as the secretary and treasurer for their business, Gene Voigt Trucking. In her younger years, she was involved with the Hamburg Homemakers, Berlin/Hamburg Lions Club, and active at her church as a Sunday school teacher and member of the ladies aid. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family, embroidery, cards, dominoes and completing word find books.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Gary) Johnson and David (Nancy) Voigt; grandson, Corey (Lexie Strasser) Voigt; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Gene, she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlyle Werner and a brother, Vilas Krenz.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Rev. William Ostrem will officiate. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service all at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hamburg.
