In the Lite wins state award for smart home innovation

In the Lite Automations of Merrill was recently recognized for excellence in residential construction technology, earning top honors from the Wisconsin Builders Association.
The company was named the winner of the Best Smart Home category in the 2025 Badger Craftsman Awards, announced June 27, 2025, by the Wisconsin Builders Association. The annual awards program recognizes exceptional craftsmanship and innovation in residential construction across Wisconsin.
“These awards shine a spotlight on the skill, creativity, and innovation of our members,” said Brad Boycks, WBA executive director. “We are honored to recognize their efforts and continued leadership in advancing the building industry throughout Wisconsin.”
The Badger Craftsman Awards, now in their fourth year, highlight innovation, craftsmanship, and dedication among WBA members committed to building safe, accessible, and inspiring homes for Wisconsin residents. Members from across the state submitted projects in various categories, showcasing excellence in homebuilding from creative outdoor living spaces to cutting-edge smart home technology.
Winners were determined through a combination of WBA member and public voting, with more than 6,400 votes cast during the one-month voting period. The competition drew entries from across Wisconsin, from Eagle River and Crivitz to Racine and Germantown.
The Wisconsin Builders Association congratulated all 2025 winners for their outstanding work and thanked participants and voters who contributed to this year’s program.
