Human remains were discovered inside a home that burned early Thursday morning in the Town of Bradley.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the Lincoln County Dispatch Center received a call shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, reporting a residential fire with flames visible from the home. The Tomahawk, Nokomis, and Cassian Fire Departments responded to extinguish the fire.”
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the residence fully engulfed in flames. The human remains were located while firefighters were still actively working to extinguish the blaze.
Multiple agencies are now investigating the incident, including State Fire Marshalls, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire or the cause of death.
“As the investigation is ongoing, no additional details can be released at this time,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
