Head out for a Spring Wildflower Hike

The Northwoods Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance will lead a guided Wildflower Hike on the Ice Age Trail in the Merrill School Forest on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Beginning at 10 a.m., the hike will begin at Camp Newwood County Park northwest of Merrill on Hwy. 107 and will take hikers along the “beautiful banks of Ripley Creek and across the 266 feet of boardwalk” and hikers will “see the unique Evjue Cordwood Education Center located along the trail in the Merrill School Forest,” organizers said.
The length of the trail hike will be approximately 2.5 to 3 miles.
