Fatal one-car crash on State Road 107 claims Merrill woman’s life

Driver charged with multiple counts including Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle

A Merrill woman died early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash on State Rd. 107 south of Tug Lake Rd., according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. “A Lincoln County Deputy responding to a call for service” came upon the crash, the release said.
Allison M. Jones of Merrill, a passenger in the vehicle, was fatally injured when the northbound vehicle she was riding in collided with a tree after failing to negotiate a curve. The crash occurred at approximately 1:34 a.m. on May 25, 2025, closing State Rd. 107 for five hours. Jones, age 26, was pronounced deceased at Aspirus Hospital in Merrill.
Another passenger in the vehicle, a 24-year-old male, was also transported to the hospital with injuries and later released.
The driver, Jurnee R. Robertson, 22, of Irma, was transported to the hospital with injuries and later released. Robertson was then taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where she is being held on several charges including Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle, OWI Causing Injury - 1st Offense, 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide, 2nd Degree Reckless Injury, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of THC.
The crash remains under investigation. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Merrill EMS/Fire Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Merrill Police Department, the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office, and Rod’s Towing.
