Edward Isaacson

Posted

Edward Isaacson of Merrill passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 70. He was born on April 24, 1953 in Merrill, the son of Jerome & Ferne Isaacson.  He met his wife and soulmate (Lynnette Holzem) in high school and continued that relationship until May 19,1978 when the two married.  He spent his life working in the window industry and out of High School went to work for ROW/HURD Windows as a lead person until the time of his retirement.  Ed loved the outdoors and when he wasn’t spending time with his family he was up at his cabin in the New Wood area enjoying nature and the great outdoors.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and over the years trained all of his black labs to hunt with him.  Some of the fondest memories were times spent with family and his girls (daughter Johnille, granddaughter Kayla, and great granddaughter Avida).  Special times were traveling out west and exploring the beauty of the mountains, hunting with his granddaughter Kayla, and attending all of her sporting events and competitions, ATV riding with family and friends, camping up in the U.P. and attending bluegrass festivals with family.  His daughter and granddaughters meant the world to him and he was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Lynn, mother Ferne Isaacson, daughter Johnille Alft, granddaughter Kayla (Dylan) Anderson, great granddaughter Avida Anderson, and brother Michael (Lynann) Isaacson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son in law, David Alft.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  Per Ed’s request, there will be no public services and his life will be celebrated by his family and friends at a later date.

Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting family at this time.  Online condolences may be expressed at MWCS.WS
