Darrell Lee Woller, 72, of the town of Corning, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was born May 23, 1952 in Merrill, son of the late Arnold and Hertha (Block) Woller. On January 12, 1980 he married Rita Stark, the love of his life, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Athens. Darrell was an owner/operator of Woller Transport in Merrill. He and Rita owned and ran a karaoke business for almost 10 years called Boulder Hill Karaoke. He graduated from Northcentral Technical college with a welding degree which he used many times throughout his life.
He enjoyed "putzing" around the house, shed, and outside. He built his own house, did a lot of woodworking and would repurpose scrap into something useful. All in all, trucking is where his heart was. He enjoyed going out for dinner with his wife, getting together with friends, and playing cards with friends and family. He was always one you could "shoot the breeze" with. If anyone would ask him to do something, he would give the shirt off his back. He was one to go on many adventures with his wife including seeing 48 states and Canada.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Woller, Merrill; his children, Samson (Mary) Woller, Michigan, David Woller, Merrill, and Jason (Hanna) Woller, Wausau; six grandchildren, Madison, Brian, David Jr, Taylor, Jackson, and Morgan; two brothers, Gene (Charlene) Woller, Merrill and Robert (Patty) Woller, Thorp; two nephews, Matt and Art (Ashley) Woller; and one niece, Alicia (Mike) Weix. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Woller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, N1660 Leafy Grove Rd, Merrill (Town of Corning), WI 54452. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services, all at the church.
