CTH YY closures scheduled for May

Lincoln County Highway Commissioner Jason Lemmer is advising motorists of upcoming road closures on County Trunk Highway YY for culvert replacement and road work this month.
CTH YY will be fully closed to through traffic between STH 86 and USH 8 on two separate occasions: May 11–15, 2026, approximately two miles north of Squaw Creek Avenue, and May 18–22, 2026, approximately one-tenth of a mile north of Squaw Creek Avenue. Both closures are for culvert replacement.
Beginning May 26, CTH YY will close again along the same stretch for pulverizing and paving operations. That closure will remain in effect until construction is complete, with local traffic permitted but delays expected.
Lemmer said the work represents “much-needed repairs” and thanked the public for their patience.
