Community supports new Athletic Park scoreboard

The City of Merrill Parks & Recreation Department issued a press release last week to express its sincere appreciation to the generous community partners who made the purchase of a new scoreboard at Merrill’s Historic Athletic Park baseball field possible.
Through their financial contributions, the following organizations helped bring this improvement to one of Merrill’s most cherished recreational facilities:
• Merrill Community Foundation
• Crossbridge Community Bank
• Precision Laser & Powder Coating

• Nicolet National Bank
• Merrill Baseball Association
• Merrill High School Baseball Boosters
The new scoreboard will enhance the experience for athletes, families, and fans attending baseball games at Historic Athletic Park for years to come.
“The support shown by these organizations demonstrates the strong community spirit that continues to make Merrill a great place to live and recreate,” said Dan Wendorf, Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Merrill Parks & Recreation Department. “Historic Athletic Park has long been a centerpiece of summer activities in our community, and this project would not have been possible without the generosity and partnership of these local supporters.”
Historic Athletic Park continues to serve as a gathering place for summer baseball traditions. The upgraded scoreboard represents another investment in maintaining and improving recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
The City of Merrill Parks & Recreation Department thanks each donor and fundraising volunteer for their commitment to enhancing community recreation and supporting local athletics.
