Charlene D. Trantow, 84, passed away at her home on February 20, 2025 (estimated) in St. Francis, Wisconsin. She was born February 7, 1941 to Harold and Lorraine (Secard) Trantow and grew up in Merrill, WI. Upon graduating from Our Lady of the Holy cross High School in 1959, she relocated to Milwaukee where she was employed at American Appraisal until her retirement.
Charlene liked gardening and caring for her collection of container plants. She volunteered at the Milwaukee Zoo and enjoyed going to music productions at the Bradley Center.
Charlene discovered her strong sense of independence at an early age, despite the challenges of cerebral palsy. She was a courageous soul who took on the world far from home and succeeded admirably. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kind and caring spirit.
Charlene is survived by many cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Gravesite rites and burial will take place in the spring of 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Merrill. Internment details will be announced nearer to that time.
