On Jan. 19, 2026, the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. (WLF) announced that camper applications are now available for the 70th summer of the Wisconsin Lions Camp. The 10-week summer camping program is provided free of charge for Wisconsin youth and adults with disabilities, made possible by the financial support of the Lions Clubs of Wisconsin, along with individual and business donors.
The 2026 summer schedule is:
• June 7 – 11: Adults who are Blind or Visually Impaired (ages 18+)
• June 14 – 18: Youth with Diabetes (ages 10–17)
• June 21 – 25: Youth with Diabetes (ages 10–17)

• June 28 – July 2: Young Adults with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism (invitation only)
• July 5 – 9: Youth with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism (ages 10–17)

• Aug. 10 – 14: Adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (ages 18+)
Applications and disability eligibility requirements can be found at wisconsinlionscamp.com. Important considerations for campers to qualify include the ability to function socially and behaviorally with a ratio of one staff to six campers, be independent in self-care skills (toileting, dressing, bathing, and eating), and be a resident of the State of Wisconsin or attend school in Wisconsin, in addition to the disability-specific requirements. Each session has room for up to 150 campers. Once an application is successfully submitted, the confirmation process can take up to a month.
The 2026 application deadlines are:
• Friday, April 24: Deadline for Adults who are Blind or Visually Impaired
• Friday, May 15: Deadline for All Youth Camps
• Monday, July 13: Deadline for Adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
