Bluejays, Hatchets at state volleyball tourney

Both the Merrill and Tomahawk girls volleyball teams advanced to the 2012 WIAA state tournament. The Bluejays opened the Division 1 tournament with a 3-1 triumph over Muskego before losing in the semi-final round to eventual state runner-up Divine Savior Holy Angels. The Hatchets were eliminated in the four-team Division 2 tournament by eventual champion Kettle Morraine Lutheran.
