Ashbrenner of Merrill takes first place at State

Athletes from the Merrill Bluejays Trap Team attended the State Shoot on June 23, 2023, at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association (WTA) Homegrounds in Nekoosa, and Merrill’s Maria Ashbrenner took first place in the State in the Ladies Intermediate/Advanced Division, shooting 97/100.
Nicholas Kriegel was the top male scorer for the Bluejays, also shooting 97/100 in the Junior Varsity Division.
From the Merrill team, 37 athletes competed at State.
Throughout the season, Merrill athletes participate in American Trap, competing against thousands of other athletes throughout Wisconsin.
