Merrill area Girl Scouts are encouraging area residents to make or purchase mittens, hats, scarves, and gloves and bring them to Miller Furniture and hang them on the Mitten Tree at Miller Furniture in Merrill. All items collected will be distributed to area schools to be used for children who need warm winter wear.
