49 Deluxe, a four-piece band that plays “Outlaw Country and Classic Rock” took the stage at the Gazebo in Normal Park last Thursday evening, July 18, 2024, stepping in to fill a vacancy created when the previously scheduled act ran into a crisis. Rev. Raven and the Chain-Smoking Altar Boys featuring Westside Andy were slated for the Thorogood Thursday Gazebo Night but “blew the transmission on their van {and} being Milwaukee based, they could not find a van to rent due to the Republican National Convention, so they could not come,” said Gazebo Nights organizer Gus Caylor.
“Mike Mensching found the band 49 Deluxe who came in and did such a great job we Will likely bring them back next year,” he said.
The four musicians who make up the band have decades of experience in the music business. They were finalists in the 2023 Hoday Pick Off Contest and have performed at festivals and clubs throughout central and northcentral Wisconsin.
Next up for this week: The Glam Band will rock Normal Park 80’s style.
