E-Cycle Wisconsin 2021 Annual Report available; register for upcoming program results webinar

https://docmanagement.wi.gov/AppNet/Login.aspxThe E-Cycle Wisconsin 2021 annual report is now available on the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) website. During the most recent program year (July 2020 to June 2021), E-Cycle Wisconsin collectors received 23.4 million pounds of eligible electronics from Wisconsin households and schools, or 4 pounds per state resident. This was a 10% increase from the previous program year. Nearly 80% of the electronics were recycled in Wisconsin, with the rest primarily going to recyclers in the upper Midwest.

Between January 2010, when E-Cycle Wisconsin began, and June 2021, the program collected nearly 350 million pounds of electronics for recycling.

Ensuring consumers everywhere in Wisconsin have access to electronics recycling, and reducing the costs consumers pay to recycle electronics at many collection sites, are important program goals. The report highlights the positive steps taken in 2021 to address these challenges and makes several recommendations for further adjustments to improve E-Cycle Wisconsin.

DNR staff will hold a program results webinar Jan. 20 from 12-1 p.m. CST. Please use the link below to register.
