Deer hides for Lions Camp

It’s deer hunting season! If you are a deer hunter and want to put your deer hides to good use, the Merrill Lions Club is sponsoring a Deer Hide Collection at 1401 E. Main St. (old Caylor building). Look for the sign and box in the corner of the parking lot.

All proceeds from the deer hides will be used for the Wisconsin Lions Camp to help serve the needs of others. The Wisconsin Lions Camp began in 1956 and has been dedicated to providing a quality camping experience for people with disabilities. There is no cost for participation in the summer camp program, so contributions are vital to the operation of Lions Camp.

Merrill Lions are also collecting deer antlers to be used by Leader Dog Puppy Raisers for puppies to chew on, deer hearts to be donated to the Wildlife Refuge in Antigo, and tails.

For more information, contact Dennis Knott of the Merrill Lions Club at 715.218.1525.
