Page named MHS November Youth Optimist of the Month

The November Youth Optimist of the Month is Kelly Page. Kelly was nominated by Ms. Kasie Holt, who comments, “Kelly leads a very busy life. She is active in school athletics, clubs, the community, and her church. Kelly has also been selected for Link Crew, L.E.A.D., President of the National Honor Society, and two year captain of the volleyball team; all are positions reserved for the leaders of the school. All of this may seem like a lot for just one person to carry, and sometimes it probably is, but Kelly will never let it show. She handles each task she is given with grace and a positive attitude.” Ms.Holt also states, “The first day I met her, Kelly made an impression on me. She has such a fun loving attitude that can bring sunshine to anyone’s day. She works hard to find the best in everyone or every situation. Kelly is driven, compassionate, and wise beyond her years. Finally, my favorite thing about Kelly is her big heart – she is always making sure everybody is included and she loves to make people feel special. I truly could write a book about all of the great things I have seen Kelly Page do over the last five years. I will miss her greatly.”
Kelly has been active in the Merrill Soccer Program, National Honor Society (NHS)(President), F.C.A., L.E.A.D., and Volleyball (Captain, All-American Honorable Mention, 1st and 2nd Team All-Conference, and MVP award).
When Kelly is not in school, she volunteers at Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church and Mount Olive Lutheran Church, as well as many things the NHS is involved in.
After high school graduation, Kelly plans to attend UW Eau Claire for dentistry. Kelly is the daughter of Dan and Cathy Page.
