8th COVID-19 Positive reported in Lincoln County

Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) is confirming an 8th case of COVID-19 in Lincoln County.
According to a press release issued Wednesday morning, June 17;  the individual is in their 90’s and is expected to have become infected through community transmission. The individual is in isolation and LCHD has contacted others with whom the case had close contact with. People with confirmed infections have a range of symptoms, from little to no symptoms to people being severely sick and dying. Symptoms may include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, fatigue, body or muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of smell and loss of taste. It’s important to remember that COVID-19 can be spread to others even if a person does not have symptoms. LCHD encourages anyone with symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID -19 to go in for testing. You can find testing information on the Lincoln County Website.
