Iron Angel Arts, located at 1106 West Main St. in Merrill, is a unique shop specializing in repurposed decorative art.
Officially opening on Friday, Nov. 15, owner Nicole Knapp was joined by ambassadors of the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce on her first day open, to celebrate the ribbon cutting of her new business.
According to Knapp the idea to start this business came from selling her art at local craft fairs.
“I used to do a lot of craft fairs, where I would take some of these pieces and sell them. I really enjoyed doing that and the people seemed to like the art that I had, so I decided to start the business.”
Nicole’s husband and owner of Iron Raven Tattoo Company in Merrill, Dave Knapp is the man behind the scenes. hand-making these art pieces.
“Dave is the one who makes nearly all of the art in the shop,” added Nicole. “We take old milk jugs, saw blades and other things that people may consider junk and we make it into unique rustic decor.”
Other than the art available, Iron Angel Arts also sells locally handmade soaps, custom jewlery, incense and more.
Iron Angel Arts is open Wednesday through Saturday from 2-6 p.m.
