Jesse and Tina Dengel were joined by ambassadors from the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Nov. 4, for an official ribbon cutting event of their new business; Riversbend Realty, located at 1201 E/ 3rd St. in Merrill. Riversbend Realty shares the same building with Dengel Dumpsters, which is also owned and operated by the couple.
Officially open for business as of September 26 of this year, Riversbend Reality assists in the selling and purchasing of all kinds of properties including; land, commercial, second homes and first-time homes.
“We love helping first time home buyers,” said owner Tina Dengel. “We love the people out there and we are very community oriented. For ten years Jesse and I have donated our time to the 4-H Dog project, we love giving back to this community. Jesse also donates $5 for every dumpster that he rents to the Jessi’s Wish Foundation.”
According to Tina, the couple have a combined 25 years of real estate experience, with Tina shouldering 17 years of it. A former broker with First Weber in Merrill for five years, Dengel believes she has all of the skills necessary to make it on her own.
“I’ve been doing this for so long and I feel like I’m good at what I do, so I figured why not do it on my own,” Tina explained. “We are here to help people in this community, we are very honest, hard working and educated in what we do.”
Dengel sees her ‘customer first’ approach as a big reason to why people will want to work with her.
“I genuinely care about my customers,” added Dengel. “I like to listen and learn what they really want, rather than just rushing them into a sale they may not love. I don’t care how long a sale takes, as long as my customer is happy in the end, I’ll be happy.”
“When a new home buyer comes into my office, I will take them through the process step-by-step,” Dengel continued. “I will tell them what they can expect and help them find a lender that best suits their needs. I let them know what to expect for home inspections and appraisals and sometimes even help the buyer and seller work together, to come to a final decision on a property.”
