Kids from Wisconsin coming to Merrill July 7

The AmericInn of Merrill, along with Arby’s and Pine Ridge Mobil, is excited to present the 51st Annual ‘Kids from Wisconsin’ showcase on July 7 at the Merrill High School Auditorium. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Kids From Wisconsin – “The Beat Goes on Tour,” features some of Wisconsin’s most talented youth ages 15-20, in a Broadway style musical revue of American music favorites that include singer/dancers and the iconic Kids from Wisconsin stage band.
Proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the Merrill High School music program. This joint venture is exciting and a first for our sponsors. We are looking forward to providing great, affordable family entertainment for our community while raising funds for the school.
One of Merrill’s very own students, Connor Stender, spent time with the Kids From Wisconsin in 2018 as an understudy of the group. Connor is excited to see this group come to his own hometown this summer.
“My experience with the Kids from Wisconsin last summer was amazing,” Stender explains. “They are all so talented and made me want to continue my dream of being a performer.”

A special opening performance will be provided by the Merrill High School Vocal Jayz.

Included in the performance on July 7 will be renditions from some of music history’s “living legends” such as Billy Joel, Tina Turner and Cher, just to name a few. In addition, the showcase will feature music that is both traditional, award-winning and memorable such as Queen and George Gershwin; guaranteed to bring audiences to their feet.
We hope that you’ll attend this year’s concert “The Beat Goes On” and support your local High School music program.
