MARC to host amateur radio license exams June 23

The Wisconsin Valley Radio Association (WVRA) is sponsoring and hosting an Amateur Radio license examination session, to be held on Saturday, June 23, with registration at 1 p.m. and testing starting at 2 p.m., at the MARC Center, 1100 MARC Dr. (just off of Hwy. 107), Merrill.
This exam session is being held in conjunction with the annual “Field Day” activities, at the same location.
Testing will be conducted for all classes of Amateur Radio licenses. Walk-ins for the test session will be accepted. However, if you know that you will be attending, calling ahead to pre-register is helpful. The exam fee is $15 for 2018. Be sure to bring a form of identification along with you. A photo ID, such as a driver’s license, is acceptable. Also, be sure to know either your Social Security number or your FCC-issued Federal Registration Number(FRN), as you will need to have that information when completing the license application forms.
