On Monday, June 4, the Merrill softball team held their annual end of the year banquet at Merrill High School. At the banquet six softball players received WVC All-Conference honors, along with five other team awards handed out.
From the six All-Conference honorees two received first team those two being; Sr, Patience Pyan, Sr, Maddix Bonnell. Second team includes Jr, Kelsie Belfiori and Sr, Taylor Krueger. Receiving honorable mention for Merrill is Jr, Megan Schroder and Sr, Calli Oberg.
The five other awards handed out at the banquet include Most Improved Player, won by Megan Schroder. The Best Teammate Award went to Allie Becker, the Gold Glove went to Maddix Bonnell and the Bluejay Award had co-winners including Kelsie Belfiori and Taylor Krueger.
