If you see Michael McRae or Brandon Ellerman be sure to congratulate them for being chosen as “Musicians of the Month” for March at Prairie River Middle School.
Michael McRae is an eighth grade baritone player with the Prairie River Middle School band. It has been wonderful watching Michael grow as a musician and as a person. Michael strives to always do better and because of this attitude he has become an outstanding role-model and leader. He is a stand-out performer in a group of top-notch musicians. Besides giving his best effort every day in class, he has also participated in local and district solo/ensemble, Middle Level Honors Band, and toured to the elementary schools. Congratulations Michael, it is an honor to recognize you for a award that you had to strive to achieve.
Brandon Ellerman is a top notch musician in the Prairie River Middle School eighth grade band and a natural born trombone player! Brandon will never shy away from a musical challenge, instead he takes them on head first and rises above them. His musical prowess is only surpassed by his zany sense of humor. His accolades include being a participate in the Wisconsin Valley Middle Level Honors Band this year, performing a solo at District Solo and Ensemble, and demonstrating the trombone on the elementary school band tour. Congratulations Brandon, every day is a new, exciting adventure with you in class!
