Janice Marie Browning, 67, formerly of Merrill, passed away December 7, 2017 at her home in Danbury WI after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 4, 1950 in Wausau, WI, daughter of the late Louis and Lucille (Borth) Stadler.
Jan worked as a nurse most of her career in various hospitals and rehab facilities and later attended UW Superior for art therapy.
Jan enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, animals, thrift store shopping and any type of art, especially pottery and her spinning wheels and looms.
Survivors include her daughter, Cara (David) Barnes of Caledonia, MI; son, Douglas Browning Jr. of Danbury; three granddaughters: Hannah Gatliff, Willow Barnes and Trinity Barnes; two brothers, Lee Stadler and Steve (Joyce) Stadler, both of Merrill; two sisters, Julie (Roger) Ridings, Marietta, GA and Paula (Don) Sondelski, Mosinee; sister-in-law, Deb Stadler-Gapko, Merrill; many nieces and nephews and her very special furry friends, Frosty and Tommy her cats and Buster and Santana, her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Ronald and Donald Stadler.
A private family celebration of life will be held June 2018 at the annual Stadler family reunion.
