Thursday morning, the county’s Forestry, Land and Parks Department announced the county’s Zone 1 snowmobile trails will open as of 8 AM Friday morning.
Zone 1 consists of the portion of the trail system which spans the portion of Lincoln County, north of county roads E and J.
Due to a lack of snow and warm weather forecast, all trails in Zones 2 & 3 will remain closed.
Be aware of Trail Closed and Logging Ahead signs, stay on marked trails only and respect private land. Use extreme caution and expect early season riding conditions throughout the trail system. Trails designated as winter ATV trails are closed to ATV use when the temperature is above 28 degrees F.
