Park City Gardens presented John and Carol Johnson, 200 S. Foster St., with the August Garden of the Month award.
John and Carol relocated to Merrill 15 years ago from Colorado. They started gardening with one plant. As Master Gardeners, they have won national awards at fair and flower shows. When driving by their home, you’ll see many varieties of perennials and annuals that bloom throughout the summer.
The beautiful petunias, filling the baskets that hang on the garage, were started from seed. John says he has a “secret” growing recipe!
The Johnson’s appreciate all the flowers around Merrill and certainly do their part to make their neighborhood beautiful.
