A snow emergency will be in effect in the city of Merrill from 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31. Vehicles should not be parked on streets during this time period.
According to the Merrill Police Department, vehicles parked on city streets are subject to being ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. The fine for parking on the street during a snow emergency is $20. It is very important for vehicles to be off the streets so snow plowing operations can take place.
