Delores F. Grund, 84, of Merrill, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
Delores was born March 8, 1931, in the Town of Maine, Marathon County, daughter of the late Friedrich and Ida Raddatz. She married Eugene Grund on April 15, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1987. Delores was a homemaker who took pride in raising her 12 children and spending time with them. She also babysat for many children for 32 years. Delores enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, canning, baking bread, sewing, crocheting, rug making, and playing bingo.
Survivors include her twelve children, Phyllis (Gene) Voigt, Rueben (Diane) Grund, Lester Grund, Lloyd Grund, and Lou Ann Grund all of Merrill, Sharon (Tom) Radtke of Wausau, and Betty (Randy) Mahn, Jerome Grund, Mark Grund, Brian (Karen) Grund, Tim Grund (Sara Breuning), and Lynette (Todd) Trapp all of Merrill; eleven grandchildren, Tony Voigt, Jeremy Voigt, Brandon (Renee) Grund, Jeff Everett, Jamie Grund, Tim Grund, Andy Mahn, Daniel Grund, Michael (Michelle) Grund, Maria Grund, and Nora Trapp; five great-grandchildren, Blake, Taylor, Morgan, Aubree, and Sophia; and one brother, Victor (Lorraine) Raddatz of Merrill. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Grund; her parents, Friedrich and Ida Raddatz; her daughter-in-law, Debra Grund; and eleven siblings, Ewald Raddatz, Leander Raddatz, Arnold Raddatz, Leroy Raddatz, Edwin Raddatz, Bernhard Raddatz, Edna Holtz, Dorothy Woller, twins Beata Splitt and Atatha Splitt, and Olga Raddatz.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday morning. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
